Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois says the manner of their defeat to Barcelona was "unacceptable".

Barca won 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.

Courtois later said: “We gave an unacceptable image for the club. We wanted to start with intensity. They found holes. We have not been compact. The first goal perhaps we are not too attentive. In the second another that we are not. You think that at the break you can come back from the game...

"We started well, we had a chance with Fede (Valverde) and then we went down. We have not found the free man in the ball exit. We stopped fighting in the second half. They had chances and the result could have been much worse."
