Let me share in English some thoughts I wrote earlier today in Spanish about Barça's situation and some comments made by "cruyffists"

1. There's no point in trying to see LE as somebody opposed to Guardiola. They have much more in common than many seem to think.

2. Cruyff was, Pep and LE are, pragmatics: they want to win. Only must: control the ball and attack. Nothing else, all the rest is flexible

3. Actual tactics to bring the core philosophy to the pitch can be very different and depend on the skills of the players available.

4. The dogmatism of many cruyffists (tied to a single tactic) is opposed to Pep pragmatism, who can use 20 different systems with Bayern

5. LE followed the core Cruyff philosophy (possession-initiative-attack) until he renounced to attack against RM and ATM.

There has to be a reason behind (Luis Enrique is not stupid), but we don't know why. We can just guess: mental fatigue?

BTW, Pep also broke the "always attack law" some times (2nd game against RM in the UCL semis), but his squad was better prepared for that

6. What is very different from Pep to LE is the praxis: worse positional play but more freedom for the individual talent of the MSN

7. Both coaches exploit the best resources they have available: Xavi&Iniesta at their best with Pep, Ney&Suárez with LE, Messi with both.

Good coaches create an ecosystem that allow their best players to perform the best. It was our midfield with Pep. It is our attack with LE.

8. LE lost when he did what many cruyffists asked for: seek for more control. This team is not designed for that and it didn't work.

And 9. Being more dependant on individual talent has cons as we just saw in the past 4 matches, but don't forget the results before.

Barça just won a treble (there have only been 4 trebles in history), and can still win a double this season. Still a tremendous performance

BTW: asking LE to be less dependent on the MSN is like asking Steve Kerr to be less dependent on Curry Thompson and Green.

If you have talented players in your squad, your tactics should allow them to exploit their talent at its max level for the team's benefit

It's not about helping them win individual prizes, it's about making easier for them help the team win titles. Like the MSN does with Barça.

Just to recall: Pep "only" won the Liga on his 2nd season and nobody was mad at him. How can some culés be so harsh with Luis Enrique?

BTW, for those who wonder: I'm a cruyffist as well, love positional play and consider Pep a genius, the best coach we had.

Just can't understand dogmatic cruyffists and those that need to underrate Luis Enrique, as if praising him would mean attacking Pep.
